On 1 October 2023 at Klan Arena in Prishtina, Bi Medical Academy, in cooperation with Dentac, for which we are the exclusive distributor in Kosovo, organised the theoretical and hands-on endodontic training programme “Upgrade Your Shaping with a Conservative Reciprocation System.”
The programme was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Özyürek, who is internationally recognised for his academic work, scientific publications and clinical experience in the field of endodontics. With more than one hundred scientific studies, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Özyürek shared his knowledge and clinical expertise in modern endodontic treatment approaches with dental professionals from Kosovo.
The main objective of the programme was to introduce current methods for performing canal shaping more safely, precisely and conservatively during modern root canal treatment. The training comprehensively addressed conservative canal-shaping approaches, which aim to preserve as much healthy tooth structure as possible, as well as the clinical use of reciprocating systems.
The theoretical session covered the accurate assessment of root canal anatomy, appropriate case and instrument selection, the operating principles of reciprocating systems and the clinical challenges that may arise during canal shaping. The essential stages of successful endodontic treatment were presented through scientific evidence and relevant clinical examples.
During the hands-on session, participants had the opportunity to apply the techniques introduced in the theoretical part of the programme. Using Dentac endodontic products and conservative reciprocating systems, the dentists practised the different stages of canal shaping under the guidance of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Özyürek.
By combining scientific knowledge with clinical practice, the programme created an effective and lasting learning environment. Participants also had the opportunity to discuss endodontic cases encountered in their daily practice and receive direct guidance from an internationally recognised expert.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Taha Özyürek’s direct interaction with the participants, his evaluation of different clinical approaches and his sharing of practical experience were among the most valuable aspects of the programme. The training went beyond introducing a new system and also supported the development of safe working principles and sound clinical decision-making.
