On 20 October 2021 at Wyndham Grand Istanbul Levent in Istanbul, Orthero Academy organised “Orthero Masters’ Class 2021 – International Orthodontic Event,” bringing together orthodontic specialists, academics and industry professionals from different countries around the world.
Bi Medical participated in this important international event organised by Orthero, for which we are the exclusive distributor in Kosovo. Together with renowned Kosovo orthodontist Dr. Lekë Jakupi and MSc. Dr. Nalan Salah, recognised for her work in aesthetic dentistry and implantology, we represented Kosovo’s dental professionals at the event.
The programme focused on current scientific developments in modern orthodontics and clear aligner treatment. Advanced case presentations, the clinical application of clear aligner systems, digital treatment planning and the capabilities of Orthero Planner software were examined in detail.
One of the event’s most prominent sessions was the international panel entitled “The Role of Professional Associations in the Development of Clear Aligners Worldwide.” Representatives of orthodontic associations from Turkey, the Philippines, Poland and other countries shared their views on the development of clear aligner treatment, the establishment of scientific standards, the exchange of international experience and the importance of professional collaboration.
The panel and scientific programme featured recognised experts including Prof. Dr. Hakan Gögen, Prof. Dr. Müge Aksu, Dr. Ferdi Allaf, Dr. Adam Alviar, Dr. Cihan Çapan and Dr. Michal Tarnawski. Participants had the opportunity to hear directly from international specialists about clinical approaches used in different countries and their perspectives on the future of clear aligner treatment.
During the scientific presentation sessions, respected orthodontists from Turkey and other countries shared advanced clinical cases and treatment approaches. Case selection, biomechanical principles, digital treatment planning, clinical control and the key factors required for more predictable outcomes were evaluated in detail.
The speakers included Dr. Cenk Ahmet Akcan, Dr. Adam Alviar, Dr. Kerem Atamözlü, Dr. Ramadan Coşkun, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan El and Dr. Beata Walawska. Their presentations allowed participants to compare different clinical approaches and benefit from international experience.
During the Orthero Planner presentation delivered by Orthero co-founder Ferit Güler, participants were introduced to the features of the digital case-planning software developed for orthodontists. Digital treatment design, the evaluation of tooth movements, the planning of treatment stages and the clinician’s review of the proposed clinical plan were discussed through practical examples.
Our participation in this event involved more than attending an international scientific meeting. Its primary objectives included connecting healthcare professionals from Kosovo with the latest global scientific developments, enabling direct communication with international experts and supporting the correct integration of new technologies into clinical practice.
The orthodontic experience of Dr. Lekë Jakupi and the clinical expertise of MSc. Dr. Nalan Salah in aesthetic dentistry and implantology ensured strong representation of different dental disciplines from Kosovo. Their participation contributed not only to scientific knowledge exchange but also to the multidisciplinary evaluation of modern orthodontic treatment.
As part of our cooperation with Orthero, for which we are the exclusive distributor in Kosovo, we do not present clear aligner systems solely as treatment products. We support their use through scientific education, digital planning assistance, clinical knowledge exchange and continuing professional development.
Our participation in Orthero Masters’ Class 2021 with Dr. Lekë Jakupi and MSc. Dr. Nalan Salah, recognised for her work in aesthetic dentistry and implantology, once again demonstrated Bi Medical’s role as a strong bridge between international brands and healthcare professionals in Kosovo.
